Teletrack Slide

The SUV Teletrack Slide is a 5.4 metre family camper trailer with a rear bed that slides out, and it sleeps four to six. SUV Caravans says the slide-out bed gives more living space inside. Like the Teletrack, it has a queen main bed, a lounge that converts to a queen and a hand winch for opening and closing.

Who does it sleep?

• Main bed: a queen with an innerspring mattress.
• Rear bed: slides out from the rear section.
• Club lounge: converts to a queen bed.

SUV Caravans says you can change the sleeping layout to suit the family.

At camp

The Air Annex is fully enclosable, and SUV Caravans includes it free. An external Air Ensuite and a touring awning are standard. The canvas tent has a tropical roof, and inside there is an extra-high roof, three storage drawers and LED lighting. It also has a double lid seal, midge-proof fly screens and a positive pressure system.

Kitchen and storage

• Kitchen: a swing kitchen with a four-burner gas stove.
• Bench: pantry drawers and a stainless steel fold-down bench.
• Rear box: an aluminium storage box at the rear.

Chassis and running gear

• Suspension: Series 4 recovery suspension with galvanised swing arms, twin shocks and heavy-duty springs.
• Chassis: fully galvanised, locally engineered and certified, SUV Caravans says.
• Wheels: 16 inch alloys with all-terrain tyres (265/75R16).
• Brakes: 12 inch electric brakes with a breakaway system.
• Hitch: a poly block hitch.
• Recovery: two rear recovery points.

Power and water

• Batteries: lithium.
• Charging: a Renogy DC-DC charger and a smart charger.
• Plugs: three Anderson plugs.
• Water: a tank of about 120 litres, monitored, plus a mains water connection.
• Gas: two 4kg bottle holders.

Optional extras

• Air-con: reverse-cycle air conditioning.
• Fridge: a 95 litre Trakmate fridge.
• Generator: a Trakmate generator.
• Hot water: a gas hot water system kit.
• Carrying: a boat carrier.
• Other: Alko or DO35 hitch upgrades and a spare bolt-on stub axle.

What will tow it?

• ATM (aggregate trailer mass): 2,400kg, the most it can weigh fully loaded.
• Tare: 1,845kg, its empty weight as built.
• GTM (gross trailer mass): 2,157kg, the most it can weigh on its axles.

To tow it fully loaded, your vehicle needs a braked towing capacity of at least 2,400kg.

Warranty and where to buy

SUV Caravans warrants new camper trailers for 12 months from delivery against defects in material and workmanship. From 2025 onwards, a 5-year fatigue warranty also covers the chassis. Both apply to new units only and are non-transferable. You can buy one through showrooms in Caboolture, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Rockhampton and Townsville, with freight on request.
