Caravan Payload Calculator

Payload is ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) minus tare, the weight of everything you load into the van. Pick a range to prefill its real numbers and see what is left after water and gear.

1. Your caravan

OR ENTER FROM YOUR COMPLIANCE PLATE

Both numbers are on the van's compliance plate - see our plate guide. Prefilled figures are each range's entry floorplan, so use the plate on the van you are buying.

2. What's coming with you

Tick what you actually carry. Each weight is an estimate, so weigh anything you are unsure of.

3. Your car (optional)

Add the car and you also get the ball download, the car's own weight limit, and the limit for the pair.Skip it and the van answer above still stands.

Payload decides what you can carry, not size

Two vans with the same 3,500kg ATM can differ by hundreds of kilos of payload, because one is built heavier. A van with 350kg of payload is full after water and gas.
