How the verdict works
What the check tells you
Your car's braked tow rating, towball limit and GCM (gross combination mass) decide it. The check puts the van's ATM (aggregate trailer mass), its ball weight and the combined weight against those three.
Green: inside the published ratings

Amber: possible, but close

Red: over the limit
One of the three is past what the car is rated for. The result names which one, and by how much.
