Caravan Compare compares Australian caravans on the specifications their manufacturers publish.This page explains how we look after those figures.
Where the figures come from
Every weight, price and dimension on this site comes from what the manufacturer publishes about its own caravans.We check each figure against the manufacturer's published material before it is listed.Where we can't find a published figure, we leave the space blank rather than estimate.A price that isn't published is marked POA, not guessed.
Where the photos come from
Every caravan photo on the site is the manufacturer's own image of that caravan.Before a photo is published, we record where it came from, so each one can be traced back to its source.
When a specification changes
Manufacturers update their ranges.When that happens, we archive the superseded specification rather than typing over it.The figure you compared last month is still on record, even after the range is replaced.
Spotted a figure that looks wrong?
Tell us.Email nick@caravancompare.com.au or use our contact form.Name the caravan and the figure, and we'll check it against the manufacturer's published material and fix what needs fixing.A person reads every email.
One thing no comparison site replaces: the compliance plate.Before you buy, confirm weights and towing legality against the plate on the van and the manufacturer's documentation.
