Teletrack

The SUV Teletrack is a 5.4 metre camper trailer that sleeps two to four. It has a queen bed, and the club lounge converts to a second queen. It opens and closes with a hand winch, and SUV Caravans designed it for couples and families alike.

Who does it sleep?

The main bed is a queen with an innerspring mattress. When you need room for more, the internal club lounge converts to a queen bed.

At camp

• Annexe: a fully enclosable Air Annex.
• Ensuite: an external Air Ensuite.
• Awning: a touring awning.
• Tent: mould-resistant canvas with a tropical roof, aluminium bows and poles.
• Inside: an extra-high roof, three storage drawers and dimmable LED lights.
• Seals: a double lid seal, midge-proof fly screens and a positive pressure system.

Kitchen and storage

Cooking is on a four-burner gas stove, with pantry drawers, a stainless steel fold-down bench and a sink with a drying rack. An aluminium storage box sits at the rear, beside a bike or hitch receiver. It also has removable jerry can holders.

Chassis and running gear

• Engineering: locally engineered and certified chassis, drawbar and suspension, SUV Caravans says.
• Chassis: fully galvanised.
• Suspension: Series 4 recovery with galvanised swing arms, twin shocks and heavy-duty springs.
• Wheels: 16 inch alloys with all-terrain tyres (265/75R16), and a spare underneath.
• Brakes: 12 inch electric, with a breakaway system.
• Hitch: a poly block hitch as standard.
• Recovery: two rear recovery points.

Power and water

• Batteries: lithium, with a smart charger.
• Plugs: two Anderson plugs, and 12 volt and USB outlets inside and out.
• Water: a tank of about 120 litres, with monitoring and a mains water connection.
• Gas: holders for two 4kg bottles.

Optional extras

• Air-con: reverse-cycle air conditioning.
• Fridge: a 95 litre Trakmate fridge.
• Generator: a Trakmate generator.
• Hot water: a gas hot water system kit.
• Toilet: a portable toilet.
• Carrying: a boat carrier.
• Other: Alko or DO35 hitch upgrades, a spare bolt-on stub axle and a camper cover.

What will tow it?

• ATM (aggregate trailer mass): 2,400kg, the most it can weigh fully loaded.
• Tare: 1,680kg, its empty weight as built.
• GTM (gross trailer mass): 2,160kg, the most it can weigh on its axles.
• Payload: 720kg for water, gas and gear. A full water tank uses about 120kg of it.

To tow it fully loaded, your vehicle needs a braked towing capacity of at least 2,400kg. These are SUV Caravans' approximate figures.

Warranty and where to buy

A new Teletrack has a 12-month warranty from delivery on defects in material and workmanship. SUV Caravans adds a 5-year chassis fatigue warranty from 2025 onwards. Both are for new units only and are non-transferable. Showrooms are in Caboolture, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Rockhampton and Townsville. SUV Caravans recommends collecting from a showroom, and freight delivery is available on request.
