About the 13Plus HR
The SUV Caravans 13Plus HR is a 6.2 metre off-road caravan that sleeps two, with a queen island bed and a separate shower and toilet. SUV Caravans lists it as a 13.5 foot caravan for couples, designed to go wherever you can tow.
Who does it sleep?
Two people, on a queen island bed with an innerspring mattress. Bedside tables with storage drawers sit beside it, and the dining seat has a removable table.
Bathroom
The internal ensuite has a flush cartridge toilet and a separate shower cubicle, with storage inside. Hot and cold water runs to every sink and the shower, heated by an integrated gas hot water system.

- Air conditioning: roof-mounted, reverse-cycle.
- Fans: 12 volt fans inside.
- Storage: drawers, cupboards and hanging space.
- Windows: privacy windows with midge-proof fly screens.
- Door: a lockable security screen door with midge protection.

Kitchen
The outdoor kitchen swings around 90 degrees and has a four-burner gas stove with a windguard. A fridge slide with pantry drawers and a stainless steel fold-down bench connects to it. The slide suits a 95 litre Trakmate fridge freezer, an optional extra. Inside, it has a mini fridge and a microwave.
Chassis and running gear
- Chassis: fully galvanised, with the chassis, drawbar and suspension approved by an Australian engineer.
- Suspension: Series 4 recovery suspension with galvanised swing arms, twin shocks and heavy-duty springs.
- Brakes: 12 inch electric brakes with a breakaway system.
- Wheels: 16 inch rims on 265/75R16 all-terrain tyres, with a spare mounted underneath.
- Hitch: an off-road Alko hitch for a 50mm ball.
- Recovery: two rear recovery points and a spare bolt-on stub axle.
- Carrying: a rear bike or hitch receiver, and jerry can holders.
A reverse camera comes with its own screen.

- Warranty: 12 months from delivery, on defects in material and workmanship.
- Chassis: a 5-year fatigue warranty, from 2025 onwards.
- Cover: new units only, and non-transferable.
