About the Airlie 22 3 Bunk
The Airlie 22 3 Bunk is a hard-top off-road caravan that sleeps five on a queen island bed and three bunks. It suits a larger family who want a washing machine and a separate shower and toilet.
It has a 2,937kg tare and a 3,500kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 563kg for water, gas and gear. Filling both fresh tanks uses 240kg of it, so weigh the van loaded. Ball weight is 285kg, and you need a car rated to tow 3,500kg braked.
The queen island bed measures 1,570mm by 2,050mm and extends to two metres. The top and middle bunks run 1,800mm by 700mm, and the bottom bunk 1,750mm by 750mm. The kitchen has a four-burner cooktop and grill combo, an overhead microwave, a 12V rangehood and a Thetford T2208 224L fridge-freezer. A wall-mounted washing machine sits inside, and a Truma Ultrarapid gas and electric system heats the water.
It is a 12 volt system. Ezytrail fits 400W of roof solar, two 120Ah lithium batteries and a Renogy 2000W inverter charger with a 65A output. Two 120L tanks carry the fresh water and an 80L tank holds the grey, so 240 litres travel with you.
The $5,000 Extenda Pack lifts the battery bank to 470Ah and the solar to 600W. It also wires the air conditioner to the inverter and adds a 2kW diesel heater with a bluetooth controller. A MyCoolman CCA3000 air conditioner, a 28 inch smart TV and a roll-out barrel awning are standard.
Ezytrail builds the van on a fully galvanised chassis with an Alko 3,500kg off-road ball hitch. The maker gives it a dual axle for stability, eight Pedders Nitro gas shocks and a dual Bigfoot V2 12 inch brake system. Suspension is Ezyrider V2 independent, with an ARK XO-750 jockey wheel and a rear bumper bar carrying two 20L jerry can holders. The van measures 8.86m long, 2.4m wide and 3.06m tall on the road.
You collect the van from one of Ezytrail's eleven showrooms, and a flat $1,000 freight fee covers transport there. Ezytrail does not deliver to a home address, and the from-price excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs. You collect the van at that showroom, and a 10 per cent deposit holds the current price. The body carries a 12 month structural warranty for the first owner.
