About the Scout-18B
The Scout-18B is Stoney Creek's bunk-equipped off-road caravan, riding on airbag suspension. Large triple bunks sit behind a sliding door for privacy, alongside a queen bed for the parents.
Tare is 2,745kg against a 3,500kg ATM, a 755kg payload margin. Ball weight sits at about 265kg at tare. That margin covers a family's gear on top of a loaded upright fridge and both tanks.
A queen bed and the triple bunks give the whole family their own space. The kitchen runs an induction cooktop with a range hood, over a stainless basin with hot and cold mixer taps. An upright compressor fridge with a freezer handles the cooling. A full-size ensuite includes a spacious shower and a separate toilet.
Two 230Ah Haidi lithium batteries give 460Ah of standard capacity, fed by 900W of roof solar. A 3000W Renogy pure sine wave inverter runs appliances off grid.
Two 120 litre tanks hold 240 litres of fresh water, backed by an 80 litre grey tank. Roof-mounted air conditioning covers the whole cabin.
A hot-dip galvanised frame carries the tandem axle on independent trailing arm suspension and airbags. Mud terrain tyres on 15 inch alloy rims sit behind a Cruisemaster DO35 coupling. Travel height settles at 2.95m with the airbags at highway pressure.
Dual gas bottles and a roll-out awning come standard. A reversing camera, microwave and 22 inch LED TV round out the fit-out.
The Scout-18B lists level with the Scout-17. Six branches across the mainland states sell and service the range. A 12 month warranty covers materials and workmanship, and 5 years covers the chassis.
