The SCF16 Sandfire GEN 2 is a 16ft off-road caravan built for a couple, the longest single-axle van in Southern Cross's off-road line. It suits buyers who want extra length without moving to dual axles.

A queen bed sleeps two adults. A four-burner cooktop runs the external slide-out kitchen, backed by a single induction burner inside over a square sink with a chopping board insert. A Thetford 152 litre fridge and freezer comes standard, upgradeable to 174 litres. An internal separate shower and Thetford cassette toilet sit apart, alongside an external hot and cold shower with a removable ensuite tent.
A 300Ah Renogy Mini Lithium battery, upgradeable to 600Ah, runs off 800W of roof solar, the most of any Pardoo-family range. A 3000W Renogy Rego inverter handles power conversion, backed by 60A of DC-DC and MPPT charging.
240 litres of fresh water sit in two 120 litre tanks. An 80 litre tank holds the grey water.
A hot-dip galvanised chassis carries a single axle on heavy duty independent trailing arm suspension with Bionic RV nitro gas shocks. Kenda Klever 265/75R16 tyres on six-stud alloy rims carry 12 inch electric drum brakes and a handbrake, behind an Ark XO Extreme off-road hitch.
A 4.2m by 2.5m electric awning, a 24 inch smart TV, a Dometic reverse-cycle air conditioner and a 20 litre microwave come standard. Southern Cross fits a 2.5kg wall-mounted washing machine as standard, a rare inclusion at this size.
Southern Cross sells the SCF16 Sandfire GEN 2 direct from Cockburn Central, Perth, skipping a dealer network altogether. Parts and labour carry a 12 month warranty, and the structure carries 5 years.
