Ceduna 15 MK3 Quad MY26

The Ceduna 15 MK3 Quad MY26 is a hard-top off-road hybrid that sleeps four on a king bed and a double bunk. It suits a family who want a built-in shower room in a 15 foot van.

It has a 2,456kg tare and a 3,000kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 544kg for water, gas and gear. Filling both fresh tanks uses 240kg of it, so weigh the van loaded. Ball weight is 202kg, and you need a car rated to tow 3,000kg braked.

The rear fold-out king bed measures 1,570mm by 2,050mm. The top bunk runs 1,070mm by 2,150mm and the bottom bunk 1,240mm by 2,150mm. A built-in shower room holds a hand basin and a chemical toilet, and an external ensuite tent adds a second option. The internal kitchen has a two-burner LPG cooktop, and the external kitchen carries a four-burner LPG cooktop.

The electrical system runs at 12 volts. Ezytrail fits three 235Ah lithium batteries, a Projecta IP2000 inverter and a Projecta 40A MPPT controller. A 750W high-output roof array feeds them. The air conditioner runs from the inverter as well as from mains power.

Water is two 120L fresh tanks and an 80L grey tank, so you carry 240 litres of drinking water. A 14L inbuilt water heater serves the shower. A MyCoolman CCA3000 air conditioner and a 2kW diesel heater with a thermostat cover both ends of the year.

Ezytrail builds the van on a galvanised RHS chassis and drawbar. The maker certifies that chassis F5 and warrants it for life. It rides on Ezyrider V2 independent suspension with greasable polyurethane bushings, a Bigfoot V2 12 inch brake system and 16 inch alloys on mud-terrain tyres. An Alko 3,500kg off-road ball hitch connects it to the car.

The van measures 6.75m long, 2.4m wide and 3.1m tall on the road. An EzyLite annex room, a 12V electric cassette awning and a 24 inch smart TV are standard. Black checkerplate protects the sides and rear.

Ezytrail sells through eleven of its own showrooms in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia. You collect from the one you choose for a flat $1,000 freight fee, and the from-price excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs. You collect the van at that showroom, and a 10 per cent deposit holds the current price. Ezytrail warrants the caravan's structure for 12 months to the first owner, separately from the chassis.
