About the Airlie 20R Twin
The Airlie 20R Twin is a hard-top off-road caravan that sleeps two on a queen island bed. It suits a couple who want a washing machine, a separate shower and toilet, and room to spread out.
It has a 2,779kg tare and a 3,500kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 721kg for water, gas and gear. Filling both fresh tanks uses 240kg of it, so weigh the van loaded. Ball weight is 205kg, and you need a car rated to tow 3,500kg braked.
The queen island bed measures 1,570mm by 2,050mm, with hanging space and cabinets either side. The sofa converts to a second bed of 1,750mm by 600mm. The kitchen has a four-burner cooktop and grill combo, a 25L flatbed microwave, a 12V rangehood and a Thetford T2208 224L fridge-freezer. A wall-mounted washing machine sits inside, and a Truma Ultrarapid gas and electric system heats the water.
Power runs at 12 volts. Ezytrail fits 400W of roof solar, two 120Ah lithium batteries and a Renogy 2000W inverter charger with a 65A output. You carry 240 litres of fresh water in two 120L tanks, with an 80L grey tank under the van.
The $5,000 Extenda Pack lifts the battery bank to 470Ah and the solar to 600W. It also wires the air conditioner to the inverter and adds a 2kW diesel heater with a bluetooth controller. A MyCoolman CCA3000 air conditioner, a 28 inch smart TV and a roll-out barrel awning are standard.
Ezytrail builds the van on a fully galvanised chassis with an Alko 3,500kg off-road ball hitch. It rides on Ezyrider V2 independent suspension with eight Pedders Nitro gas shocks and a dual Bigfoot V2 12 inch brake system. An ARK XO jockey wheel, certified front recovery points and a rear bumper bar with two 20L jerry can holders come with it. The van measures 8.21m long, 2.4m wide and 3.09m tall on the road.
Ezytrail lists this model for pre-order rather than immediate purchase. Ezytrail runs eleven showrooms, and you collect from whichever one suits you. Transport to it is a flat $1,000, and the from-price excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs. Ezytrail warrants structure and materials for 12 months from first ownership.
