About the Airlie 19 Twin
The Airlie 19 Twin is a tandem-axle hard-top off-road caravan for two, with a queen island bed. It suits a couple who want a long, well-fitted caravan and a third berth for a grandchild.
It has a 2,653kg tare and a 3,300kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 647kg for water, gas and gear. Ball weight is 194kg, and you need a car rated to tow 3,300kg braked. That rating rules out many mid-size four-wheel drives, so check your car before you commit.
The queen island bed measures 1,570mm by 2,050mm. The large dining table converts to a second bed of 700mm by 1,800mm. The kitchen has a four-burner cooktop with three gas rings and one electric, a grill, a 12V rangehood and an overhead microwave. A Thetford 174L T2175 fridge-freezer sits inside, with a hidden coffee station and a wall-mounted washing machine. The bathroom keeps the shower and toilet separate.
Power is a 12 volt Renogy system. Ezytrail fits 400W of roof solar, two 120Ah lithium batteries and a Renogy 2,000W inverter charger. A Renogy One Core manager and a 50A DC-DC MPPT charger run it. Ezytrail hardwires the air conditioner to the inverter output. It runs on battery power as well as mains. The Extenda Pack lifts the solar to 600W, the batteries to two 235Ah, and adds a 2kW diesel heater.
Water is two 120L fresh tanks and an 80L grey tank, so you carry 240 litres of drinking water. A Truma Ultrarapid gas and electric system heats it, and an external shower box sits outside.
Ezytrail galvanises the whole chassis and runs Ezyrider V2 independent suspension with eight Pedders Nitro gas shocks. Dual Bigfoot V2 12 inch brakes, an Alko 3,500kg off-road ball hitch and an ARK XO-750 jockey wheel complete the running gear. A breakaway emergency braking system and certified front recovery points are standard. The van measures 7.85m long, 2.4m wide and 3.06m tall on the road.
Storage runs to drawers under the bed, roof-mounted units through the van and a front tunnel boot with LED lighting. A premium roll-out barrel awning, a 28 inch smart TV and a Fusion RA60 media player come with it. The body carries a 12 month structural warranty for the first owner.
You collect the van from one of Ezytrail's eleven showrooms, and a flat $1,000 freight fee covers transport there. Ezytrail does not deliver to a home address, and the from-price excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs.
