About the Airlie 18 Twin
The Airlie 18 Twin is a hard-top off-road caravan for two, with a queen island bed and a separate shower and toilet. It suits a couple who want a full caravan interior rather than a hybrid, with a third berth for a grandchild.
It has a 2,279kg tare and a 2,900kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 621kg for water, gas and gear. Ball weight is 194kg, and you need a car rated to tow 2,900kg braked.
The queen island bed measures 1,570mm by 2,050mm. The couch converts to a second bed of 700mm by 1,800mm. The kitchen has a four-burner cooktop with three gas rings and one electric, a grill, a 12V rangehood and an overhead microwave. A Thetford 174L T2175 fridge-freezer sits inside, alongside a wall-mounted washing machine. Interior finishes are napa leather seating, wood-look benchtops and white flush-finish cabinetry over a vinyl floor.
Power is a 12 volt Renogy system. Ezytrail fits 400W of roof solar, two 120Ah lithium batteries and a Renogy 2,000W inverter charger. A Renogy One Core manager and a 50A DC-DC MPPT charger run it. Ezytrail hardwires the air conditioner to the inverter output. It runs on battery power as well as mains. The Extenda Pack lifts the solar to 600W, the batteries to two 235Ah, and adds a 2kW diesel heater.
Two 120L tanks carry the fresh water and an 80L tank holds the grey, so 240 litres travel with you. A Truma Ultrarapid gas and electric system heats it, and an external shower box sits outside.
Ezytrail galvanises the whole chassis and runs Ezyrider V2 independent suspension with four Pedders Nitro gas shocks. Bigfoot V2 12 inch brakes, an Alko 3,500kg off-road ball hitch and an ARK XO-750 jockey wheel complete the running gear. A rear bumper bar carries two 20 litre jerry cans, and the front has certified recovery points. The van measures 7.5m long, 2.4m wide and 2.99m tall on the road.
Standard kit covers a premium roll-out barrel awning and a 12V electric entry step. A 28 inch smart TV, a Fusion RA60 media player and a wireless charging pad come with it. Ezytrail covers the structure for 12 months from first ownership.
Ezytrail hands the van over at one of its eleven showrooms rather than at your address. A flat $1,000 freight fee covers transport there, and the from-price excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs.
