About the ACX
The Design RV ACX is an off-road caravan on Cruisemaster air suspension, with the most standard power in the Design RV range. It carries 600 amp hours of lithium, 880 watts of solar, a 3,000 watt inverter and a diesel heater as standard. Design RV lists it at 3,500kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), with a 4,500kg ATM upgrade as an optional extra.
Floor plans
Design RV lists 10 floor plans for the ACX.
- Couples: seven layouts from 19 feet 6 inches to 22 feet 10 inches.
- Family: three layouts with bunks, at 20 feet 6 inches, 21 feet 10 inches and 22 feet 6 inches.
Power
- Batteries: two 300 amp hour lithium batteries.
- Solar: four 220 watt panels.
- Inverter: a 3,000 watt Projecta inverter, wired to every power point and the air conditioner.
- Heating: a diesel heater.
Kitchen, bathroom and comfort
- Cooking: three gas burners and one electric hotplate, with a griller.
- Bathroom: a one-piece fibreglass shower and a ceramic bowl cassette toilet.
- Climate: a rooftop reverse cycle air conditioner.
- Bed: an innerspring mattress.
- Hot water: instantaneous.
- Cabinets: CNC machined, with soft close drawers.
- Dust: a Gusto dust reduction system.
Water and outdoors
- Fresh water: two 95 litre tanks.
- Outdoors: an external shower and two fold-down picnic tables.
- Awning: an Aussie Traveller manual roll-out awning.
- Reversing camera: standard.
Build
Design RV builds it in Pakenham, Victoria.
- Walls: aluminium side wall framing.
- Front, roof and rear: one-piece composite sandwich panels.
- Chassis: a Supagal heavy-duty chassis.
- Suspension: Cruisemaster BCS New Gen air suspension.
- Wheels: 17 inch alloys with 265/75 R17 all-terrain tyres.
What will tow it?
- ATM: 3,500kg, the most it can weigh fully loaded.
- ATM upgrade: 4,500kg, an optional extra.
Your vehicle needs a braked towing capacity at least as high as the ATM you order.

Delivery and freight
