About the Forerunner
The Design RV Forerunner is a leaf-spring touring caravan for sealed and dirt roads, in couples and family floor plans. Design RV says it handles light corrugations with ease. It shares the Getaway floor plans, with a bigger fridge and a 28 inch smart TV.

Design RV lists 12 floor plans for this model.
- Couples: nine layouts from 17 feet 4 inches to 22 feet 10 inches.
- Family: three layouts with bunks, at 20 feet 6 inches, 21 feet 10 inches and 22 feet 6 inches.
- Seating: a cafe dinette or an L-shaped lounge, depending on the layout.
Kitchen, bathroom and comfort
- Cooking: three gas burners and one electric hotplate, with a griller.
- Bathroom: a one-piece fibreglass shower and a ceramic bowl cassette toilet.
- Climate: a rooftop reverse cycle air conditioner.
- Bed: an innerspring mattress.
- Fridge: a 224 litre Thetford compressor fridge.
- TV: a 28 inch smart TV.
- Fans: two 12 volt fans.
Water and outdoors
- Fresh water: two 95 litre tanks.
- Toolbox: a top-opening touring toolbox with the gas bottles inside.
- Awning: an Aussie Traveller manual roll-out awning.
- Reversing camera: standard.
Build
Design RV builds it in Pakenham, Victoria.
- Chassis: a Supagal heavy-duty chassis, which Design RV says is Australian made.
- Suspension: leaf springs.
- Tyres: 235/75 R15 all-terrain tyres on dual-axle layouts, and 245/75 R16 on single-axle layouts.

Delivery and freight
