Rego by state
Caravan rego in Queensland
Queensland gives its caravan rego figure through the Transport and Main Roads (TMR) online registration quote tool.
TMR's tool works out the rego fee for your own trailer or caravan.
What Queensland's pages say
- A trailer or caravan with an ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass, the most it may weigh loaded) of 4.5 tonnes or less is a light trailer.
- No vehicle registration duty is payable when you register a trailer or caravan. Duty is a separate charge from the rego fee.
- A trailer over 750kg ATM, or with more than one axle, needs a pre-registration inspection.
What else Queensland's page says
- TMR's published cost tables list cars, motorcycles, motorised caravans and primary-producer heavy trailers.
- For a towed caravan, TMR's route to the figure is its registration quote tool.
How to read this page
These are the facts the authority publishes, checked on 29 October 2026.
They are not a quote, and they are not advice about what you have to pay.
Schedules usually change on 1 July, concessions and short-term periods vary, and your authority is the one that decides.
Check its page before you budget.

TMR's cost tables are marked as at 1 July 2026. We last checked these Queensland pages on 29 October 2026.
We don't collect rego. You pay it to the state or territory's transport authority.
Check your van's weight
A public weighbridge gives you a ticket with the van's weight on it.
