Torino

The Trakka Torino is a van motorhome for two on the Fiat Ducato, from 5.99 metres long. It has an inside toilet and shower room, a 140 litre fresh water tank and 800 watts of roof solar. Power comes from a 48 volt EcoFlow lithium system with 4,000 watts of 240 volt output.

Who does it sleep?

Every layout sleeps two.

• T2: two seats and long north-south single beds that make a double, 5.99 metres long.
• T2XL: the T2 layout with more room, 6.36 metres long.
• T4: four seats, a front lounge, a longer kitchen and a fixed east-west double bed at the rear, 6.36 metres long.
• T2 beds: singles 1.90 by 0.7 metres, or a 1.90 by 1.85 metre double.
• T4 bed: a 1.85 by 1.37 metre double.

Inside

• Bathroom: a toilet and shower room with concertina doors, a rain shower head and a handheld shower. It is 90 by 70cm in the T2.
• Toilet: your choice of toilet style.
• Basin: a basin, a mirror with recessed storage and an extraction fan.
• Cooking: a dual induction cooktop that also works outside.
• Microwave: a 31 litre, 1,000 watt convection microwave with grill and steam functions.
• Fridge: a 150 litre fridge and freezer, or 170 litres in the T2XL and T4.
• Kitchen: a sink with a lid, a drinking water filter and soft-close drawers.
• Windows: double glazed, with insect screens and blinds.
• Insulation: foam insulation and acoustic panels in the walls, ceiling and doors.
• Beds: triple foam mattresses, with 240 volt and USB-C outlets in the bedroom.

Air conditioning and heating are options. You can choose 2,200 watt ducted or 3,500 watt rooftop air conditioning, and 3,600 watt electric or 8,000 watt diesel heating.

Outside

• Awning: an electric roll-out awning on the side.
• Lighting: a 26 inch LED flood light.
• Portable solar: an Anderson plug for a portable panel.
• Insect screens: on the sliding side door and the rear door.

Power and water

• Battery: a 5.12kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, equal to 400 amp hours at 12 volts. A 10.24kWh battery is an option.
• Inverter: 4,000 watts continuous at 240 volts, with an 8,000 watt surge.
• Solar: 800 watts on the roof, with a 1,600 watt option.
• Mains charging: up to 4,000 watts, which Trakka says recharges it in about 1.5 hours on a 15 amp site.
• Driving: about 1,000 watts from the alternator.
• Fresh water: a 140 litre tank.
• Grey water: an 80 litre tank with an electronic dump valve.
• Hot water: a 15 litre, 1,600 watt electric water heater.

Driving and specs

• Base vehicle: Fiat Ducato LWB for the T2, XLWB for the T4.
• Engine: a 2.2 litre turbo diesel, 132kW and 450Nm, with an 8-speed automatic and front wheel drive.
• GVM (gross vehicle mass): 4,250kg, the most it can weigh on the road, fully loaded.
• Tare: 3,024kg for the T2 and 3,065kg for the T4, with full fresh and hot water, 10 litres of fuel and no options.
• Payload: 1,226kg for the T2 and 1,185kg for the T4, for people and gear.
• Towing: up to 2,250kg braked.
• Height: 2.62 metres, or 2.77 metres with rooftop air conditioning.
• Width: 2.05 metres.
• Headroom: 1.92 metres inside.
• Ground clearance: 130mm, or 160mm as an option.
• Fuel: a 90 litre tank.

How to buy

Trakka sells direct from its showroom at 9 Beaumont Road, Mt Kuring-Gai, NSW. Trakka recommends booking an appointment, and interstate buyers can ask for a video tour. Prices start at $163,600 for the T2, excluding on-road costs. The T2XL is $169,200 and the T4 is $172,100, also excluding on-road costs.
