About the Parkes 15FRS Club MK4
The Parkes 15FRS Club MK4 is a pop-top off-road hybrid with a front club lounge and a king bed. It suits a couple who want a low travelling height, a proper living area and a third berth for a guest.
It has a 2,442kg tare and a 3,000kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 558kg for water, gas and gear. Ball weight is 218kg, and you need a car rated to tow 3,000kg braked.
The king master bed measures 2,000mm by 1,800mm and slides out at the touch of a button. The front club sofa converts to a king single bed of 2,150mm by 1,100mm. A self-contained ensuite holds the shower and the toilet. The kitchen has an induction cooktop, a fridge and a microwave. A slide-out kitchen with a three-burner stove pulls out from the side.
It is a 24 volt system. Ezytrail fits a 1,190W solar array, two 24V 235Ah lithium batteries and a Victron Multiplus-2 3,000VA inverter. Ezytrail rates the bank at 12kWh, which is 940Ah measured at 12 volts.
You carry 240 litres of fresh water in two 120L tanks, with an 80L grey tank under the van. A gas system heats the water on demand. Heating is a 2kW diesel unit, and cooling is a MyCoolman CCA3000 air conditioner.
The electric pop-top raises at the press of a button and keeps travelling height to 2.77m. The chassis is one-piece hot-dip galvanised steel with an extended gooseneck drawbar, F5 certified and warranted for life. It rides on Ezyrider V3 coil independent suspension with an anti-roll bar and four Pedders Big Bore shocks. Bigfoot V3 12 inch brakes, 16 inch alloys on off-road tyres and a 3,500kg off-road hitch complete the running gear. The van measures 6.94m long and 2.4m wide.
Standard kit covers a 24 inch smart TV and a wifi reverse camera with a portable viewing screen. The structural warranty runs 12 months from the first owner.
Ezytrail keeps eleven showrooms of its own and hands the van over at the one you pick. A flat $1,000 freight fee covers transport to it, and the from-price excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs.
