About the Parkes 16 MK3 Twin
The Parkes 16 MK3 Twin is a pop-top off-road hybrid for two, with a permanent king bed. It suits a couple who want the bed made up on arrival and an electric roof that lifts at a button.
It has a 2,419kg tare and a 3,000kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 581kg for water, gas and gear. Ball weight is 204kg, and you need a car rated to tow 3,000kg braked.
The king master bed measures 1,800mm by 2,100mm and stays made up while you travel. The sofa makes up as a second bed of 1,300mm by 600mm. A built-in ensuite holds the shower and toilet. The kitchen has a Dometic NRX1080 internal fridge, with a slide-out kitchen outside. A fridge slide with a pantry drawer set runs on a 50A plug with a retractable cable chain.
Power is a 12 volt Projecta system. Ezytrail fits 750W of high-output roof solar, a 705Ah lithium bank and a Projecta IP2000 inverter. A red 50A plug takes a portable solar panel. A MyCoolman CCA3000 air conditioner keeps the van cool.
Fresh water is 240 litres across two tanks, and grey water goes to an 80L tank. An external lockable filler point takes the hose, and tank sensors read the levels inside.
Ezytrail builds the chassis and drawbar from F5 certified galvanised RHS steel and warrants them for life. It rides on Ezyrider V2 independent suspension with four Pedders Nitro gas shocks. Bigfoot V2 12 inch brakes, 16 inch alloys and two spare wheels on a fixed rear bumper bar complete the running gear. The 12V electric lifting system raises the pop-top. The van measures 7.03m long, 2.4m wide and 2.77m tall on the road.
Ezytrail warrants structure and materials for 12 months from first ownership.
