About the Crew Sport 18'6
The Crew Sport 18'6 is the single-axle entry point to Oz Off Road's mid-tier family vans. It runs the same light platform as the Crew Core 18, with the Sport equipment level over it.
Tare is 2,160kg against a 2,500kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), for a 340kg payload. That matches the Core 18's figures, since the two share a chassis.
The caravan queen bed sits on an extendable gas strut lift-up base. A 274 litre compressor fridge and a gas/electric hob and grill fit the family kitchen. A gas/electric hot water system and a 12V rangehood cover the rest of the cooking.
A 300Ah lithium battery and three 220W solar panels are standard on the Sport tier. This tier also fits a top or front load washing machine as standard, unlike the Core. A Multiplus-II inverter charger and a 30A DC-DC charger manage the power.
Water storage is two 90 litre fresh tanks and a 90 litre grey tank, run by a Seaflo pump. A Dometic Fresh Jet air conditioner, a diesel heater and an external hot/cold shower all come standard.
Shine Xt off-road suspension replaces the Core's on-road setup on this tier. 16 inch alloys, all-terrain tyres and a DO35 hitch complete the underside. An 8 inch jockey wheel, stabiliser legs and brush bars round out the running gear.
An AL-KO ESC system and a Safety Dave reverse camera cover the safety fit-out. A toolbox with fridge, generator and gas storage sits up front. An internal TV point, an external TV point and a Cowfish antenna handle entertainment.
You order this van from the Penrith factory and wait 12 to 16 weeks for delivery anywhere in Australia. The warranty covers the structure for 24 months and the chassis for 5 years from the original purchase date.
