About the Bondi 4S
The Winnebago Bondi 4S is a campervan on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, 6.97 metres long, that sleeps two. It has a combined shower and toilet, a kitchen, and a lounge that converts to a queen bed.

- Battery: a 135 amp hour sealed deep-cycle house battery, with BMPRO battery management that is lithium compatible.
- Solar: a solar panel with a regulator.
- Gas: one 4kg gas cylinder.
- Air conditioning: a 2.4 kilowatt reverse cycle unit on the roof.
- Awning: a 4 metre wind-out cassette awning.
Build and warranty
- Body: single-piece structural composite panels in the roof, walls and floor, with a foam core.
- Finish: gelcoat-finished 1.6mm fibreglass.
- Windows: tinted glazed sliders. Flyscreens are an option.
- Warranty: a 5-year structural guarantee and a 3-year body and interior warranty, plus roadside assistance in line with the vehicle's own warranty.
Winnebago says the single-piece panels help keep water out.
Weights and licence
- GVM (gross vehicle mass): 3,380kg, the most it can weigh on the road, fully loaded.
- Payload: 740kg for people, water, gas and gear. A full fresh tank uses about 80kg of it.
- Headroom: 1.92 metres inside.
Winnebago says most 2-berth motorhomes are under the weight limit for a standard Australian car licence. It says to check the GVM against your state or territory's rules before driving.
