About the XL-FF
The XL-FF is Stoney Creek's lightweight forward-fold camper for four, the cheapest model the maker builds. A queen bed sleeps the adults, and the dinette folds down for the kids.
Tare is 1,160kg against a 1,500kg ATM, a 340kg payload margin. Ball weight sits at about 110kg at tare. That margin suits a small SUV tow vehicle as much as a full-size 4WD.
A queen memory foam mattress covers the main bed, with the dinette converting for a second sleeper. A pull-out kitchen with upgraded rollers runs a 4-burner gas stove behind wind protection. A hidden table extension pulls out from the kitchen for extra bench space. A fridge up to 70 litres is available to add as an option.
A 230Ah lithium battery comes standard, with a smart 240V charger and DC-DC charger built in. Add solar at 200W or 300W as an option to top up off grid.
An 80 litre poly tank carries fresh water, with hot water plumbed through to a shower. A 12V pump with an external switch draws the water on demand.
A 4 inch by 2 inch hot-dip galvanised A-frame rides on independent trailing arms with twin shocks. A mud terrain tyre and spare sit behind an off-road hitch rated to 3.0 tonnes. Ten inch electric brakes and a handbrake match the 1,500kg ATM.
Heavy-duty canvas and a full annexe with poles, walls and floor come standard. LED lighting and a fire extinguisher round out the fit-out.
