About the Somerset-13
The Somerset-13 is the smallest of Stoney Creek's on-road hybrid line, built for sealed-road touring. A queen bed and a combination toilet-and-shower ensuite fit into the single-axle body.
Tare is 1,800kg against a 2,300kg ATM, a 500kg payload margin. Ball weight sits at about 105kg at tare. That margin covers water, groceries and gear for a couple travelling the black-top.
A queen bed anchors the layout, next to a lounge for daytime use. A pull-out kitchen runs a 3-burner gas stove with an oven and grill, over a stainless sink. A 153 litre Dometic fridge and freezer handles the cooling. The ensuite combines the toilet and shower into one compact space.
A 230Ah lithium battery comes standard, fed by 450W of roof solar. A 2000W sine wave inverter powers appliances off grid.
Two tanks hold 240 litres of fresh water, backed by an 80 litre grey tank. A skylight hatch lets in extra light and airflow.
A hot-dip galvanised frame rides on single-axle rubber torsion suspension with shocks, built for sealed roads. A 50mm ball hitch couples to the tow vehicle, with 12 inch electric brakes and breakaway safety. Dual batwing awnings shade both sides of the van at camp.
Air conditioning and a reversing camera come standard. A 22 inch LED TV with DVD and generous storage round out the fit-out.
Six company-run branches sell and service it, from Queensland to Western Australia. Somerset models built from June 2025 carry a 2 year manufacturing warranty and 5 years on the structure.
