TT 16ft Alpha Hybrid

The Offroad Hybrids TT 16ft Alpha Hybrid is a 6.8 metre off-road hybrid caravan for a couple, sleeping up to three. It is the largest of the three Offroad Hybrids models, with an electric roof, a permanent queen bed and a separate toilet and shower. Offroad Hybrids says its hybrids are narrower than traditional caravans, so they are easier to tow and manoeuvre on four-wheel drive (4WD) tracks.

What sets the Alpha apart

Its premium Alpha package includes a Redarc BMS50 battery management system with a Redarc Vision screen.

Outdoor kitchen and annexe

The stainless steel kitchen slides out, with an AGA four-burner stove, a microwave, storage compartments and plumbed hot and cold water. The electric awning closes into a fully enclosed annexe. An outdoor hot and cold shower with its own tent is standard.

Chassis and off-road gear

• Drawbar: a solid hot-dip galvanised A-frame, 150 x 50 x 4mm, with a Cruisemaster DO35 off-road coupling.
• Chassis: solid 150 x 50 x 4mm.
• Suspension: heavy-duty independent coil springs with Pedders foam cell shock absorbers.
• Brakes: 12 inch electric drums.
• Wheels: alloys with mud terrain tyres, plus two spares.
• Protection: rock sliders, a checker plate stone guard with a toolbox, underbody deadener and a Dometic dust reduction system.
• Front lockers: sealed, with holders for two 9kg gas bottles and two jerry cans.
• Warranty: 5 years structural on the chassis and drawbar, and 12 months on other parts and labour.

Power and water

• Water: two 120 litre fresh tanks and an 80 litre grey water tank.
• Hot water: Truma gas and electric.
• Batteries: two Invicta Black lithium batteries with the Redarc BMS50.
• Solar: 600 watts, double the TT 13ft and TT 15ft.
• Charging and mains: a 50 amp Anderson plug, 240 volt power, an inverter and 12 volt sockets.

Options and extras

• Colours: choose the interior and exterior finishes.
• Storage: reconfigure the internal storage to suit.

What will tow it?

• ATM (aggregate trailer mass): 3,000kg, the most it can weigh fully loaded.
• Tare: 2,350kg, its empty weight as built.
• Payload: 650kg for water, gas and gear. Full water tanks use about 240kg of it.
• Ball weight: 215kg.

To tow it fully loaded, your vehicle needs a braked towing capacity of at least 3,000kg.
