About the Nomad
The Nomad is an off-road pod camper for a couple or a solo traveller, with 600Ah of lithium and a 2000W inverter. Goldfields pitches it at free camping, extended touring and long stays off-grid without towing a full-size caravan.
Tare is 1,500kg against a 2,000kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), for a 500kg payload, with a 150kg ball weight. It measures 5.4m long, 2.24m wide overall and 2.3m high without the optional rooftop tent.
The bed is a caravan queen, 150cm wide by 198cm long, with under-bed storage. The fixed rear kitchen has an induction cooktop and a large bench, with side pantry storage and a heavy-duty fridge slide. A Thetford portable toilet, an external hot and cold shower and a Darche Eclipse Gen 2 shower tent cover the bathroom. A 24 inch NCE smart TV, a built-in radio, a diesel heater and two moveable fans are fitted, with opening flyscreened windows and lockable doors. A front toolbox and an extended front storage box add to the storage.
Two 300Ah Renogy lithium batteries run a Renogy Pro 2000W pure sine inverter charger, with a 50A DC-DC charger and a Renogy ONE monitoring system. A 200W roof-mounted solar panel is fitted. Water runs to 200 litres across a 120 litre main tank and two 40 litre isolated tanks, with a SmartTek hot water system. Two 4.5kg gas bottle holders are fitted, and the lighting runs in white or amber bug mode.
The body is a structural XPS foam core bonded between an aluminium skin and a fibreglass lining, on a Cruisemaster chassis with off-road suspension. It rolls on 16 inch six-stud wheels in the LandCruiser pattern with all-terrain tyres. Goldfields backs it with a five-year warranty on the chassis and drawbar, plus two years ball-to-bumper on models sold from February 2026. The rooftop tent and the Weber are optional extras.
Goldfields sells it direct from its Maryborough showroom in Victoria, with a deposit to secure the order.
