About the Echo 10
The Fantasy Echo 10 is a 10 foot caravan for one or two people, with an internal shower and toilet. Fantasy says it suits solo travellers, retirees and downsizers. It weighs 1,090kg empty and up to 1,500kg fully loaded.
Who does it sleep?
- Lounge and bed: a U-shaped lounge makes up a single bed, or converts into a 1,580 x 2,000mm double.
Inside
The kitchen has an induction cooktop, a sink, a 102 litre compressor fridge and a 20 litre microwave. The ensuite combines a shower with a cassette toilet and a vanity sink, with a 12 volt fan in the ensuite hatch. A rooftop reverse-cycle air conditioner is standard. A 24 inch smart TV sits on a swing arm, and a stereo with USB, Bluetooth and FM plays through two speakers.
Chassis and build
- Chassis and drawbar: 4 inch, with a 50mm towball coupling.
- Suspension: an ALKO 1.5 tonne torsion axle.
- Wheels and brakes: 185 R14 light truck tyres and 10 inch electric brakes.
- Setting up: a single manual step and four stabiliser legs.
- Body: XPS foam insulation, and Sanjo windows with blinds and flyscreens.
- Outside: a 2.3 metre manual cassette awning and a picnic table.
Power and water
- Battery: a 200 amp hour lithium battery, managed by a Projecta PM200 system.
- Charging: a 100 watt roof solar panel and a Renogy 40 amp DC-DC charger.
- Power points: several 240 volt outlets, and a 7-pin flat trailer plug with an Anderson plug.
- Water: a 70 litre fresh tank and a 70 litre grey water tank.
- Hot water: a Truma gas and electric system, with one 4.5kg gas bottle holder.
- Reversing: a wireless reverse camera with a screen.

Fantasy gives it a five-year structural warranty on the chassis and drawbar, plus a one-year manufacturer's warranty. Fantasy Caravan has showrooms at Pakenham in Victoria, Heatherbrae in New South Wales and Coopers Plains in Queensland. Evoace Horse Floats in Cannington sells Fantasy caravans in Western Australia.

- Payload: 410kg for water, gas and gear. A full 70 litre fresh water tank uses about 70kg of it.
- Ball weight: 70kg, the load on your towball.
To tow it fully loaded, your vehicle needs a braked towing capacity of at least 1,500kg.
