About the SC14 Club
The SC14 Club is a 14ft hybrid pop-top, the widest and tallest van in Southern Cross's hybrid line at 2.13m wide and 2.62m high. It suits a couple who want the most headroom in the range.
Tare sits at 2,200kg against a 2,900kg ATM, a 700kg payload margin. Ball weight comes in at about 165kg.
A pop-top roof lifts electrically to sleep two adults. A four-burner cooktop, a sink and a drying rack sit in the slide-out stainless steel kitchen. A 115 litre Dometic fridge and freezer runs alongside it. Inside, a combo unit pairs shower and Thetford cassette toilet; outside, a hot and cold shower fits a removable wall-mounted ensuite tent.
A 300Ah Renogy lithium battery runs off 600W of roof solar, through a 3000W Renogy pure sine inverter. A 50A Renogy DC-DC charger tops up while towing.
Two 120 litre fresh tanks give a combined 240 litres on board. An 80 litre grey tank catches the run-off.
The frame is full aluminium, over a honeycomb composite floor and a hot-dip galvanised chassis. Bionic RV nitro gas shocks work through heavy duty independent trailing arm suspension, coupled to an Ark XO Extreme off-road hitch. Six-stud alloy rims carry Kenda Klever 265/75R16 tyres, with 12 inch electric drum brakes and a handbrake.
Standard equipment runs to the electric roof and awning, a wireless reverse camera, a 24 inch smart TV and a Dometic reverse-cycle air conditioner.
Southern Cross builds and sells it from Cockburn Central, Perth, skipping a dealer network altogether. Cover runs 12 months on parts and labour, and 5 years on the structure.
