Ceduna 15 MK3 Twin

The Ceduna 15 MK3 Twin is a hard-top off-road hybrid for two, with a rear section that folds out at camp. It suits a couple who want a king bed and an ensuite. The 12 volt power system reads from a phone app.

It has a 2,504kg tare and a 3,000kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), which leaves 496kg for water, gas and gear. That is the tightest payload in this batch, so weigh the van loaded before a long trip. Ball weight is 226kg, and you need a car rated to tow 3,000kg braked.

The rear fold-out king bed measures 1,800mm by 2,000mm, and the sofa makes up as a single. The maker says the expandable rear adds about three feet of living space at camp. An ensuite bathroom, an internal kitchen and an external slide-out kitchen cover the daily jobs. A fridge slide with a pantry box sits in the tunnel boot, above a generator hatch.

Power is a 12 volt Projecta system. Ezytrail fits 600W of roof solar, three 235Ah lithium batteries and a Projecta IP2000 inverter. A Projecta Intelli-RV manager and an IDC25L DC-DC charger run it. A red 50A plug takes a portable solar panel. A Truma Aventa air conditioner and a 2kW diesel heater cover both ends of the year.

Water is two 120L fresh tanks and an 80L grey tank, so you carry 240 litres of drinking water. A 14L inbuilt heater does the hot water, and a grey dump point empties the waste tank.

Ezytrail builds the chassis and drawbar from F5 certified galvanised RHS steel and warrants them for life. It rides on Pedders Ezyrider independent suspension with four Pedders Nitro gas shocks and greasable polyurethane bushings. Bigfoot 12 inch electric brakes, 16 inch alloys on mud-terrain tyres and two spare wheels complete the running gear. The van measures 6.75m long, 2.4m wide and 3.1m tall on the road.

Storage runs to a tall hanging space, overhead cabinets and under-bunk drawers. The straight sofa has a locker under the seat. The body carries a 12 month structural warranty for the first owner.

You collect the van from one of Ezytrail's eleven showrooms, and a flat $1,000 freight fee covers transport there. Ezytrail does not deliver to a home address, and the from-price excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs.
