Sending us your photos and specs

Three ways to send them, none of which take long.

How to send photos

Easiest first

Just attach them to your reply

For a handful of photos this is all you need.
Attach them to your email back to nick@caravancompare.com.au and you are done.

Photos straight off your phone are completely fine.
Clear and well lit beats professional.

Too many to attach? Use WeTransfer

You do not need an account and it costs nothing.

  1. Go to wetransfer.com in your browser.
  2. If it asks, choose the option to send without signing up.
  3. Add your files. You can select a whole folder at once.
  4. Put nick@caravancompare.com.au in the box for who it goes to.
  5. Put your own email in the box for your address.
  6. Press the send or transfer button.

It will email you when we have picked them up.

Already use Dropbox or Google Drive?

Paste a share link from Dropbox or Google Drive into your reply.

Please check the link works for someone outside your business.
Otherwise it asks us to sign in and we cannot open it.

If the buttons on any of those have moved since this page was written, ring us on 0409 198 856 and we will talk you through it.
We would rather sort it out on the phone than have you give up on it.

What a good photo set looks like

Six to ten photos per van is plenty.

  • Two outside: one front three-quarter angle, one side on.
  • Three or four inside: kitchen, bed, bathroom, lounge.
  • One floorplan drawing, if you have it.
  • The biggest size you have. We resize down, we cannot resize up.

Here is a listing with a full set in place: Leader Caravans Xpedition.

Part of it is worth sending.
We are not waiting on the full set.

The numbers, if you have them handy

A spec sheet or brochure covers all of this, so do not retype anything you can just attach.
If it is easier to fill in, here is the list. One block per van.

Range name: Model year or series: Tare (kg): ATM (kg): Ball weight at tare (kg): Ball weight at ATM (kg): Payload (kg): Body length (m): Overall length on the road (m): Width, body only (m): Travel height (m): Internal height (m): Axle count: Berths: Fresh water (L): Grey water (L): Solar (W): Battery (Ah), and type: Inverter (say whether that is W or VA): Construction, walls and frame: Fridge: Main bed size: Warranty (years): Price from (or POA): Page on your site:

Leave anything you are not sure about blank.
If a range comes in more than one layout, one named layout with its own weights is worth more to us than a set of figures covering all of them.
If your warranty terms are on a page or a PDF, the link is plenty.

Permission

One line in your reply

So we can publish your photos and floorplans, put a line like this in your email.

[Your brand] owns or controls the copyright in the photos and floorplan drawings referred to in this email and gives Caravan Compare permission to publish them on caravancompare.com.au, resized or cropped to fit. [Your brand] can withdraw this permission at any time by email.

We keep your reply as the record.
You can withdraw it any time by email.

Our standing photo policy is on the image copyright page.

Your options

What each one means

Send us your material

Our suggestion

About ten minutes of your time, and it makes the best page, because it is built from your own photos and your own numbers.

Your photos are credited to you. Your page is rebuilt within seven days of the files arriving.

Tell us to use what is on your website

About thirty seconds. Same credit, same removal rights, and we do all the work.

The limit is that your page can only be as good as what is already published on your site. If your best photos are not up there, we cannot use them.

Corrections only

One reply telling us what is wrong. It is corrected within a few days. Nothing else changes and no permission is given.

No thanks

One word and we will not email you again.

Whichever you pick, and even if you pick none of them: any photo on your page is removed on one email from you. We action it within one business day, no questions asked.

Afterwards

Keeping it current

Email nick@caravancompare.com.au any time something changes.
A new model, updated weights, new photos, a price, a range you have retired.

One line is plenty.
"The Tanami ATM is now 3,500kg" is a perfectly good email.

There is no form, no account and no login to remember.

If you would rather have the details laid out for you, the button on our manufacturers page opens an email with the checklist already in it.

We reply within one business day.

Curious how the site pays for itself? That is set out on our how we make money page.

Not comfortable with any of that?

Ring Nick and we will sort it out between us.
