About the Wild Shark 3
The Viscount Wild Shark 3 is a semi off-road caravan for couples, built as the semi off-road version of the Viscount V3. It adds lithium power, a 218 litre compressor fridge and coil suspension to the V-Series standard kit. Viscount offers it in seven layouts.
Layout
Viscount's site shows three floor plans: the Wild Shark 3.1, 3.2 and 3.5. Couples can choose between these options:
- Club lounge: a large wrap-around lounge.
- Cafe dinette: with a full-height linen cupboard in the bedroom.
- Utility cupboard: fitted beside the entry door.
The Wild Shark 3.5 layout has a large full-height pantry. Outside, a large slide-out toolbox is sized for a generator.
Standard kit
Viscount says the Wild Shark range includes the V-Series standard features, plus more off-grid capability and upgraded appliances.
- Power: two 200 watt solar panels and a 200 amp hour lithium battery.
- Charging: a Projecta DC-DC charger and a Projecta battery management system with a digital display.
- Water: two 95 litre fresh water tanks, a 95 litre grey water tank and a water filter plumbed to the kitchen sink.
- Hot water: a Suburban instant hot water system.
- Fridge: a 218 litre Thetford compressor fridge.
- Kitchen: a recessed four-burner cooktop, a full oven and a pull-out pantry.
- Bathroom: a moulded shower, a china bowl toilet and black tapware.
- Suspension: independent coil springs with shock absorbers.
- Dust: a Milenco dust reduction system.
Outside
- Body: grey composite aluminium, with 550mm high checkerplate on the lower sides, front and back.
- Lighting: flood lights front and rear, and an amber or white annexe light.
- Inside height: 6 feet 8 inches, with roof hatches that have built-in LED lights.
Viscount notes that its photos and virtual tours can show optional extras.
How to buy
Viscount sells through dealers in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia, and one in New Zealand. Ask a dealer for the price, and for the tare and ATM (aggregate trailer mass) of the layout you choose.
