About the Tungsten Armorlite
The Urban Caravans Tungsten Armorlite is a compact off-road hybrid with a pop-top, built in Melbourne on a single axle. It carries 300 amp hours of lithium and cooks inside or out. It comes in Standard and Family layouts.
Chassis and running gear
- Suspension: 3 tonne single-axle suspension.
- Hitch: a Cruisemaster DO35 coupling.
- Chassis: a 200mm trussed chassis.
- Tyres: 265/75 16 inch mud-terrain.
- Dust: a dust suppression system.
Power and water
- Batteries: two 150 amp hour lithium batteries, 300 amp hours in total.
- Monitoring: a Garmin monitoring system.
- Water: two 65 litre fresh tanks and a 43 litre drinking water tank, with a 95 litre grey tank.
Kitchen
- Fridges: a 75 litre and a 60 litre fridge.
- Cooking: an external kitchen, plus a three-burner cooktop inside.
