Breakaway

The Millard Breakaway is an off-road caravan with couples and family floor plans, from 6.9 metres long. Couples plans sleep two, and family plans add double or triple bunks. It carries the most power in the Millard range, with 600 amp hours of lithium and a 3,000 watt inverter.

Floor plans

• Couples: from 14ft 7in to 22ft 8in.
• Family: from 19ft 11in to 22ft 10in, with double or triple bunks from 1,850 to 2,200mm long.

Inside

The ensuite has a separate shower and toilet, and a 2.5kg front-loading washing machine is standard. The kitchen has a portable induction cooktop and a Thetford Duplex oven and grill. A Truma Vario gas heater is standard.

• Length: 6.93 metres overall on the shortest plan.
• Width: 2.5 metres.

Chassis and running gear

• Chassis: galvanised Alko truss chassis.
• Suspension: Cruisemaster ATX airbag, on a single or tandem axle, which lowers and levels the van at camp.
• Brakes: 12 inch electric.
• Coupling: DO35 or DO45, depending on the van's size and weight.
• Tyres: 17 inch all-terrain.

Power and water

• Batteries: two 300 amp hour lithium.
• Inverter: 3,000 watts.
• Solar: three to five 200 watt panels, depending on the model.
• Water: two 95 litre fresh tanks, a separate 60 litre drinking water tank and a 110 litre grey tank.
• Gas: two 9kg bottles.
• Fridge: a Dometic fridge, 180 or 216 litres depending on the van size.
• Cooling: 3.5kW reverse-cycle air conditioning.

What will tow it?

The ATM (aggregate trailer mass) depends on the floor plan and axle you choose. Ask the dealer for the ATM of your exact van, then check your vehicle's braked towing capacity against it.

Where to buy

Millard sells through authorised dealers, and warranty claims go first to the dealer who sold the van. Millard gives a 5-year structural warranty and a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. Millard lists the price on application, so ask a dealer what your floor plan costs.
