About the Trooper Platinum
The Trooper Platinum sits at the top of Lotus Caravans' off-road range. It is built in layouts from 20ft 6in to 24ft 5in for couples and families of up to five. It is the range Lotus builds for buyers who want nothing left off the list.
Layouts run to club lounges, dinettes or straight lounges with separate sleeping zones and oversized ensuites. The kitchen is large-scale with a 216L 12V ventless compressor fridge, and a wall-mounted washing machine is standard with a dishwasher on selected layouts. Walls and ceiling are fibreglass with Sancell insulation, over honeycomb flooring and leather lounges.
The galvanised X-Guard hybrid truss chassis carries Cruisemaster ATX air suspension with the Body Control System for automated ride control. It rolls on 17-inch Dirty Life wheels with 34-inch Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek tyres and 12-inch off-road brakes, behind a DO45 coupling. BOS stabiliser legs and a BOS jockey wheel hold it steady when parked.
Three 300Ah REDARC lithium batteries give 900Ah of storage, fed by 1,450W of solar and run through twin 3,000W inverters. Lotus says diesel heating, air conditioning and every major appliance run off grid. Water is up to three 95L fresh tanks, a 50L drinking tank and a 50L grey tank, with dual gas bottles.
LC Customs front and rear styling packs, the stealth solar bracket, drag wing, premium entertainment pack and a Boss Aluminium stealth toolbox come standard. Pricing excludes on-road and delivery costs, and Lotus quotes weights per build through its dealers.
