About the Summit
The Hip Summit is a teardrop camper trailer for two adults and a child, 4.25 metres long, with a queen mattress and a skylight. It weighs 700kg empty and has a 1,500kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass). It carries a 100 watt solar panel, a 120 amp hour lithium battery, a 2,000 watt inverter and 80 litres of fresh water.

- Payload: 800kg for water, gas and gear. A full fresh water tank uses about 80kg of it.
To tow it fully loaded, your vehicle needs a braked towing capacity of at least 1,500kg. Hip Campers says most SUVs, wagons and utes can tow it.
How to buy
You can book a viewing in Melbourne or send an enquiry first. A refundable deposit reserves a camper, and you view it on arrival before final payment. Hip Campers covers shipping to any state. It also sells custom builds from a base shell, priced to the options you choose in its 3D builder. The warranty is 24 months structural, plus 12 months on fittings and components.
