About the Compact Club 20'1
The Compact Club is a 20ft 1in tandem-axle van entered through a rear door. It suits a couple who want the lounge as a destination at the back rather than a step near the door.
Tare is 2,300kg and Highclere quotes ATM at 3.2 to 3.5 tonnes, a range that spans the three build tiers. Ball weight is 160kg. Tare and ball weight are both the lowest of any 20 footer Highclere builds. A dealer can confirm which tier your quoted figure covers.
The rear club lounge uses a Nuova Mapa telescopic and adjustable table. Inside, a rear club lounge sits behind a walk-through kitchen and the front island queen. A cassette toilet, full-height fibreglass shower and 3.5kg top-loading washer share the rear ensuite.
Dynasty's oven is a gas and electric mini grill with a pot drawer. Step up to Carnarvon or Grand Explorer XT for a full oven. All three tiers run reverse cycle air conditioning. Dynasty and Carnarvon both carry a 188 litre fridge; Grand Explorer XT carries 224 litres.
Dynasty carries a single 100Ah AGM battery off 210W of solar. Carnarvon adds a second 120Ah AGM battery and doubles solar to 420W, with BMPro monitoring. Grand Explorer XT swaps in two 150Ah lithium cells, 630W of solar and a Victron 3000W inverter.
Highclere fits two 95 litre fresh tanks as standard. Carnarvon adds a separate 100 litre grey tank on top of those. Gas and electric power the hot water system.
Supagal steel, made in Australia, forms the chassis on a 6 inch main frame. Dynasty rides semi off-road suspension, Carnarvon rides full off-road. Grand Explorer XT adds a purpose-built truss chassis and air bag suspension. Ribbed aluminium sides and a fibre roof cover the entry Dynasty tier. Composite aluminium sides and a composite roof cover Carnarvon and Grand Explorer XT.
Highclere's 5 year warranty covers the whole caravan regardless of tier. Highclere builds the Compact Club in Epping, Victoria and leaves the sale to a dealer network, one per state. A dealer sets the price, and Epping fields Northern Territory enquiries itself.
