577 Tourer

The Golf 577 Tourer is a caravan that sleeps five to seven, with an 8.15 metre travel length. It has a rear bathroom with a shower and toilet. Roof-top reverse cycle air conditioning, AL-KO independent suspension and 270 watts of solar are standard.

Inside

• Kitchen: a four burner cooktop with a mini grill, a microwave and a 12 volt rangehood.
• Fridge: a 185 litre two door 3-way fridge freezer.
• Hot water: a gas and electric hot water service, with a 12 volt water pump.
• Climate: the roof-top air conditioner has a remote for heating and cooling.
• Cupboards: two-tone overhead doors with polished chrome handles and soft close hinges.
• Beds: Golf offers bunk configurations for families.
• Finish: LED lighting throughout, USB charging points and a choice of leather-look upholstery.

Chassis and body

• Chassis: an adventure pack chassis with an extended drawbar.
• Suspension: AL-KO independent suspension.
• Wheels: 16 inch alloy wheels, a rear bumper, and a spare wheel, jack and wheel brace.
• Coupling: an AL-KO off-road coupling, with drop-down stabiliser legs.
• Body: flat black windows, checker plate on the front, sides and rear, and a lockable security door.
• Storage: a large lockable two door toolbox at the front.

Outside

• Awning: a box style awning with an LED strip light.
• Power points: a 240 volt power point, a 12 volt point and an antenna point outside.
• Entertainment: a radio CD player and a wind-up TV aerial with a booster.
• Lights: step and boot lights and an LED grab handle.

Power and water

• Batteries: two deep cycle batteries with a DC to DC charger and a Projecta battery management system.
• Solar: two 135 watt panels, 270 watts in all.
• Gauges: a Projecta battery and water tank gauge.
• Water: two water tanks, with a lockable filler and a mains pressure inlet.
• Gas: two gas bottles.

Golf offers third and fourth water tanks as an option, for grey or fresh water.

What will tow it?

• ATM (aggregate trailer mass): 2,495kg, the most it can weigh fully loaded.
• Tare: about 1,995kg, its empty weight as built.
• Payload: about 500kg, for water, gas and gear.
• Ball weight: about 210kg.

To tow it at its 2,495kg ATM, your vehicle needs a braked towing capacity of at least 2,495kg. Golf says its weights and dimensions are a guide only, and change with the accessories fitted.

How to buy

Golf sells through an Australia-wide dealer network, and you can book a tour of its showroom. Golf has made caravans and motorhomes since the 1960s. Golf's Tourer page says the range is "Proudly designed and built in Australia".
