About the R-Pod
The R-Pod is a 9ft micro caravan for a couple, built for rough tracks with independent suspension, a DO35 hitch and a lithium battery.
Tare is 1,360kg against a 1,900kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), a 540kg payload, with a 180kg ball weight. Independent suspension with shocks sits under a 6 inch chassis and drawbar, on 16 inch alloy rims with 265/75 R16 tyres and 12 inch brakes. An ARK XO 750 jockey wheel and a spare wheel are fitted.
It sleeps two on a king mattress, 1780mm by 1980mm, with a 24 inch smart TV, two swivel fans and 1.07m of internal height. The rear-access kitchen is a Dometic three-burner with a sink. An OEM stereo with speakers inside and out, multiple 240V, 12V and USB sockets and a roof rack rated to 150kg are included.
A 200Ah lithium battery charges from a Renogy 30A DC-DC charger. Fresh water runs to 80 litres and grey water to 60 litres, with two 4.5kg gas bottle holders. XPS foam insulates the body.
Fantasy backs it with a five-year structural warranty and one year on the rest. It sells through Fantasy showrooms in Pakenham, Heatherbrae and Coopers Plains.
