About the F-Pod
The F-Pod is a 12ft mini caravan for a couple, with a king-size bed inside, a Dometic kitchen outside and an integrated shower room. Fantasy groups it in its Pod series, built with off-road suspension for tracks beyond the bitumen.
Tare is 1,060kg against a 1,900kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), an 840kg payload, with a 140kg ball weight. Coil suspension rated to 2 tonnes with twin shocks sits under a 4 inch chassis and a 6 inch drawbar. It rolls on 15 inch alloy rims with 235/75 R15 tyres and 10 inch brakes, with a 50mm ball coupling and a spare wheel.
It sleeps two on a king mattress, 1970mm by 1490mm, under 1.34m of internal height. A roof hatch with a light and a TV mount are fitted. The external kitchen is a Dometic two-burner with a sink. The shower room is integrated ABS, with no toilet fitted. A manual roll-out awning, an annex, a reversing camera and a roof rack rated to 150kg are included.
A 200W solar panel charges through a Projecta PM300 management system and a 25A DC-DC charger. Fresh water runs to 85 litres, with two jerry can holders and a 9kg gas bottle holder.
Fantasy backs it with a five-year structural warranty and one year on the rest. It sells through Fantasy showrooms in Pakenham, Heatherbrae and Coopers Plains.
