About the SC13 Cruiser
The SC13 Cruiser is Southern Cross's base 13ft hybrid pop-top, built for a couple with no bunks. It suits buyers who want the Cruiser layout without extra sleeping for children.
Tare sits at 2,130kg against a 2,800kg ATM, a 670kg payload margin. Ball weight comes in at about 185kg.
A pop-top roof lifts electrically to sleep two adults. The slide-out kitchen is stainless steel, with a four-burner cooktop, a sink and a drying rack. A pull-out fridge slide runs on 12V through an Anderson plug, with its own cooling fan. A Thetford cassette toilet shares the internal combo shower, backed by an external hot and cold shower with a removable ensuite tent.
A 300Ah Renogy lithium battery runs off 600W of roof solar, through a 3000W Renogy pure sine inverter. A 50A Renogy DC-DC charger tops up while towing.
Two 120 litre tanks hold 240 litres of fresh water between them. Grey water drains to an 80 litre tank.
A full aluminium frame sits over a honeycomb composite floor, on a hot-dip galvanised chassis. Heavy duty independent trailing arm suspension runs on Bionic RV nitro gas shocks. An Ark XO Extreme off-road hitch rides on an Ark XO750 jockey wheel. 12 inch electric drum brakes and a handbrake sit behind Kenda Klever 265/75R16 tyres on six-stud alloy rims.
The electric roof and awning, a wireless reverse camera, a 24 inch smart TV and a Dometic reverse-cycle air conditioner come standard. Two 9kg gas bottle holders and two 20 litre jerry can holders sit up front. Southern Cross includes 12 months of registration.
No dealer network sits between buyer and builder; Southern Cross sells the SC13 Cruiser direct from Cockburn Central in Perth. The warranty runs 12 months on parts and labour, 5 years on the structure.
