About the Skyline 14
The Skyline 14 is Fantasy Caravan's 14ft semi off-road caravan for two, the lightest of the Skylines at 1,780kg tare. The maker's own summary is a queen bed, a separate shower and toilet, 2,500kg ATM and 720kg of payload. It sleeps two on a queen bed of 1640mm by 2000mm. The bathroom has a fibreglass shower and a separate Dometic swivel cassette toilet. The kitchen has a Thetford K1540 cooktop and grill, a 185L compressor fridge and a 20L microwave. The chassis rails are 4 inch steel with a 6 inch drawbar, a 50mm ball coupling and an 8 inch swing-up jockey wheel. Suspension is a single 2,500kg torsion axle, on 265/75R16 all-terrain tyres. Tare is 1,780kg, ATM (aggregate trailer mass, the loaded limit) is 2,500kg, and ball weight is 120kg. That leaves 720kg of payload for water, gas and gear. Power comes from a 200Ah lithium battery, 400W of rigid solar and a Renogy 2000W inverter. A Projecta PM200 power management system and a 40A DC to DC charger run the charging. Water is a 95L fresh tank and a 95L grey tank, with Fogatti instant gas hot water. A myCOOLMAN rooftop reverse-cycle air conditioner, three swivel fans, a single-DIN stereo and annexe lights are standard, under a manual pull-out awning. Fantasy lists a Gusto dust reduction system and a diesel heater as options, along with an extra 200W solar panel and a second 200Ah battery. The body is 6.53m long, 2.43m wide and 3.06m high.
