About the Breath Max
The Breath Max is the stand-up model in the Breath Trailer range, with an interior toilet and shower and a queen bed. It suits a couple who want a small van they can live in for weeks, with room for a third sleeper on the sofa bed.
It has a 1,200kg tare and a 1,900kg ATM (aggregate trailer mass), the only Breath rated above 1,500kg. That leaves 700kg for water, gas and gear. It needs a car rated to tow 1,900kg braked or more.
The interior has standing height, an internal toilet and shower, a queen mattress and a sofa that converts to a second bed. One large screened, lockable door opens onto it. The kitchen has a double gas stove and an upright fridge.
Power and water cover a full off-grid setup. Breath fits a solar panel, a 120Ah lithium battery and a 1000W inverter. Two 80L tanks keep fresh and grey water separate. A roof rack takes a 90, 180 or 270 degree awning. Breath includes a spare tyre.
The body is 4.5m long, 2.1m wide and 2.35m tall. Whether it fits a garage depends on your door height. It rides on a hot-dip galvanised steel chassis with a galvanised sheet body and a plastic honeycomb floor. Suspension is leaf spring with torsion, with electric brakes and a handbrake. Wheels are 15 inch alloys. Breath says setup takes about five minutes.
Breath sells factory-direct with no dealers. You order on the online configurator. You can view one at the Holroyd showroom in Sydney by appointment. Owner ambassadors also show theirs in Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria and Western Australia. The maker quotes three to four months from order to delivery.
