About the Zodiac Topaz 22
The Zodiac Topaz 22 is one of nine Zodiac off-road touring caravans Austrack builds. It has a 3,050kg tare and a 210kg tow ball weight, and Austrack rates it to sleep up to three. It measures 9.3m long, 2.5m wide and 3.2m high. The bed is a 1,530 by 2,000mm queen. It is the only Zodiac with a concealed motorised 43 inch pop-up television, where the rest carry a 28 inch smart TV. Power is 1050W of solar and a 920Ah lithium battery bank. Charging runs through a 3,000W inverter, a 200A AC charger and a 100A DC-DC and solar charger. Water is two 120L fresh tanks and an 80L grey tank with an on-demand hot water system. Inside, the kitchen has a four-zone induction cooktop and a 180L Dometic fridge freezer. Outside there is a 95L dual-zone fridge and an alfresco kitchen with a four-burner stove and a sink. A separate internal ensuite and toilet, a reverse-cycle air conditioner and a 2,000W diesel heater are standard. So are a washing machine with a dryer and a 18ft manual rolling awning. The chassis and drawbar are hot-dipped galvanised 150 by 50 by 4mm steel, under a welded aluminium frame with composite panels. It runs AusTuff independent coil suspension with Pedders foam cell shocks, 12 inch electric brakes and a Cruisemaster DO35 off-road coupling on 265/75R16 all-terrain tyres.
