About the Big Red
The Big Red is New Age's slide-out couples caravan, built in 19ft and 20ft layouts. One wall moves out to open the floor plan when you park. Both layouts carry a queen bed up front, and there are no bunk layouts in this range.
The 19ft Slider is 8.1m long and 2.5m wide for travel, with 2.03m of headroom inside. An electric awning sets up at one button, and the TV rises when you want it and hides when you do not. A front-load washing machine is fitted. The fridge is a Thetford 224L compressor unit.
The body is one bonded composite shell on a tandem AL-KO rocker-roller seven-leaf axle set with 10-inch tow-assist brakes. The axle set is rated to a 3,200kg GTM (Gross Trailer Mass). A Semi Off-Road pack adds trailing-arm independent suspension, 16-inch all-terrains, a raised coupling and a stone guard. Every Big Red is built to one specification with 118 items as standard.
Two 200W solar panels feed two 135Ah lithium batteries slung under the chassis. Water is two 110L fresh tanks and a 110L grey tank.
The 19ft Slider has a 2,650kg tare, a 180kg ball weight and a 3,350kg ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass), with 700kg of payload before options. The 20ft is rated to 3,590kg, which New Age notes sits above the 3,500kg limit of most dual-cab utes. Prices exclude on-road costs, dealer delivery and options, and New Age says to confirm final weights with your dealer before you tow.
